Karen Mose Nørgaard

Karen interprets the traditional songs and poems of Denmark with insight and nerve.

Karen grew up in the village Tommerup on the island of Funen and was taught to sing folk songs by her mother from a very early age. Today Karen is living in Odense, where she graduated from the Carl Nielsen academy of music and now earns her living as a musician in Phønix, Karen & Helene and Stafivia as well as teaching at the Carl Nielsen Academy.

In 2003 Karen received a Danish Music Award, Folk for best Vocalist of the year
